Davidstow Creamery is a Dairy Crest production line based in a civil parish and village in north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom.
‘Davidstow Cheddar’ and ‘Cathedral City’, brands of cheese are produced at Davidstow Creamery which is operated by Dairy Crest using water ultimately from St David’s Holy Well and distributed nationally and in export.
Active were appointed as a construction contractor conducting enabling, engineering and civils contract works for facilitating the expansion of the production line and new construction of a Whey distribution line which now stands at the largest in Europe.
Works include the decommissioning and deconstruction of surplus/aged plant, substructure works in the form of electrical provisions, drainage, foundations and distillations.
Other construction activities include the construction of LV, HV substation bases/troughs and cable trenches, raft slabs, car parks, steel structures for storage, substation superstructure and main distribution superstructure including the cladding and installation of operational doors.
